Nottingham Forest secure loan signing of Rodrigo Ribeiro from Sporting Lisbon

Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of 18-year-old striker Rodrigo Ribeiro on loan from Sporting Lisbon for the rest of the season.

The deal also includes the option of making the move permanent.

Ribeiro has developed through the ranks at Sporting Lisbon, marking his professional debut in the UEFA Champions League against Manchester City in March 2022.

The young forward, who represents Portugal at the U20 level, has been impactful for Sporting's youth teams.

Last season, he netted six goals in nine matches, contributing to Sporting's journey to the semi-finals of the UEFA Youth League.

This term, he has made ten appearances for Sporting’s academy side in Portugal's third tier.

During his stint at Nottingham Forest, Ribeiro will don the number 37 shirt.
