Wolverhampton Wanderers secure loan of PSG's Noha Lemina
Wolverhampton Wanderers have confirmed the signing of Noha Lemina on a loan deal from Paris Saint-Germain for the remainder of the 2023/24 season.
Lemina, an 18-year-old winger and brother to Mario Lemina, has spent the last ten years developing in the PSG youth academy.
The young talent's recent stint was with Sampdoria in Italy, where he split his time between the first team and the under-19 squad.
Across both levels, he made ten appearances and scored two goals.
This loan spell followed a season with PSG’s under-19 team, where Lemina found the back of the net 15 times in 28 games. It was during this season that Lemina also made the transition to a professional player.
Lemina, who has represented France at the under-17 level and is also eligible to play for Gabon, joins Wolves with the club holding an option for a permanent move in the summer.
Sporting Director of Wolves, Matt Hobbs, shared his thoughts on the new signing: “Noha’s an exciting, quick and direct winger with a strong technical ability, shaped by his extensive training at PSG. This loan is a fantastic opportunity for him to integrate with our team and for us to evaluate his progress. Under Gary's guidance, we're confident he'll continue to develop, giving us a clearer picture for future decisions.”
Hobbs also mentioned the role of Mario Lemina, Noha's brother, in the young player's journey.
“Mario, being a driven and ambitious individual, has always believed in Noha's potential to succeed in the Premier League. However, the decision to bring Noha here is based purely on his merit and suitability to our style of play,” he added.
