Len O’Sullivan exits Bray Wanderers to join Glenavon

Full-back Len O’Sullivan has opted to leave Bray Wanderers in favour of a move to Northern Irish top-flight side Glenavon.

O’Sullivan, 20, was with the Seagulls last season under Ian Ryan - and also lined out at Wexford under the same boss.

The Meathman was recently training with English Premier League side Crystal Palace with a view to earning a contract earlier this month.

But instead, he has followed the lead of former League of Ireland pair James Doona and David Toure in joining the Mourneview Park side.

Shelbourne youth Gavin Hodgins is also on loan at Glenavon - who are managed by former Dundalk academy boss Stephen McDonnell.

“I am delighted that we have been able to add Len to the squad,” McDonnell said.

“I saw him play for Wexford two years ago and was impressed.

“He is now a little older and more experienced. I think he will add real quality to the team.

“He is not unlike David Toure in playing style. I think he has enormous potential.”

Len has signed an 18-month contract.

Meanwhile, Jack Hudson’s exit from Bray has also been confirmed.

The Dubliner - who came through the ranks at Cabinteely - has moved to Australia and will now line out for Albion Rovers in Melbourne.

Conor Knight and Conor Davis have also both departed the Carlisle Grounds outfit in recent weeks.
