Swansea City sign Ronald from Gremio Anapolis
Swansea City have announced the signing of 22-year-old forward Ronald from Gremio Anapolis.
Ronald has committed to a contract with Swansea that extends through to the summer of 2027, including an option for an additional year.
Ronald, previously contracted with Gremio Anapolis until 2026, began his career at Corumbaense, debuting at 17 in 2019.
His journey saw a move to Atletico Goianiense in 2021, followed by a loan to Gremio Anapolis, where he contributed to the club's Campeonato Gaiano victory.
His performances secured a permanent transfer to Gremio Anapolis.
Ronald also played for Guarani in Brazil and spent the last 18 months on loan at Portuguese club Estrela da Amadora, aiding in their promotion to the Primeira Liga.
In other news, Swansea City confirmed the departure of Yannick Bolasie following the conclusion of his short-term contract.
The 34-year-old winger, who joined the club last November as a free agent, made 11 appearances in all competitions.
Head coach Luke Williams commented on Bolasie's departure, saying, “Yannick has been great to work with during his time at the club, he has been a real professional and we wish him well in whatever is next for him.”
Additionally, Swansea City's defender Lincoln McFayden has joined Penybont on loan for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.
