Ex-UCD and Sligo Rovers attacker Liam Kerrigan joins Novara on loan
Liam Kerrigan has joined Serie C side Novara on loan from parent club Como 1907 in a bid to kickstart his Italian adventure.
The former UCD and Sligo Rovers attacker has been beset by injuries in Italy since moving there from Belfield midway through the 2022 season.
And just last season, the Sligo native suffered a long-term knee injury that kept him out for almost a year.
That has seen the former Ireland under-21 international make just 12 league appearances for the Serie B side since joining them.
Como are now managed by former Wales assistant manager Osian Roberts - while Kerrigan’s new club Novara will be hoping he can have an instant impact at the club.
Novara currently sit in 17th in their section of the division and are just six points off the bottom of the table.
Novara FC are a phoenix club of Novara CF who competed in Serie A in 2011 before losing its professional status in 2021 after sliding down the leagues.
