Dean Lyness exits St Patrick’s Athletic to join Scottish third-tier side Hamilton
Scottish League One promotion chasers Hamilton Academical have unveiled the signing of FAI Cup winning goalkeeper Dean Lyness.
Lyness played a key role in the Saints’ second half of the season surge under Jon Daly last season - culminating in an FAI Cup final win over Bohemians at the Aviva Stadium.
But he has opted to return to the UK and join Hamilton who are looking to return to the Scottish Championship next season.
Hamilton are currently second in the third-tier of Scottish football but are nine points behind league leaders Falkirk.
Former Longford Town and Drogheda United defender Daniel O’Reilly lined out for the Accies last season.
