Last 16 lineup confirmed for AFCON
The group stages of the Africa Cup of Nations concluded on Wednesday night and now the details of the round of 16 matches have been confirmed.
The stand out tie from the upcoming knock out stage round is Senegal, the reigning African champions, taking on the host nation Cote d'Ivoire.
Despite the Elephants getting stuffed 4-0 by Equatorial Guinea in their final group game they still advanced.
The most successful side in the tournament history Egypt, who finished second in their group despite not winning a match, will face DR Congo next up.
Cape Verde, who topped the group ahead of Egypt, will play Mauritania who won their first ever AFCON game in their last group match to advance in place of Algeria.
The winner of that match will take on the victorious team from South Africa and World Cup semi-finalists Morocco.
