Galway United secure signing of defender Jeannot Esua
Newly-promoted Galway United have unveiled the signing of 27-year-old Cameroonian defender Jeannot Esua.
The Tribesmen have been busy during the off-season and Esua’s arrival is their fifth new recruit with Karl O’Sullivan, Patrick Hickey, Garry Buckley and Leo Gaxha all moving to Eamonn Deacy Park.
Esua has predominantly played in the US and Canada before a recent stint in Finland with PEPO Lappeenranta and IF Ekanas.
“Galway as a whole is a really big club, I’ve seen the fanbase,” he said.
“It goes wild at Eamonn Deacy Park, and I feel that’s something I really want to be a part of.
“I’m always going to give it my all. I like to lead by example, step on the pitch, put on a show for the fans and give everything for the badge.”
