Treaty United sign promising Irish underage international
Treaty United have added to their ranks ahead of the new season with the addition of teenager Adam O’Halloran.
The young defender joins from Galway United where he made his senior debut in late 2022. He has been capped internationally from under 16 to under 18 and captained his country at school level in 2021.
Shannonsiders boss Tommy Barrett was very satisfied with the acquisition of O'Halloran.
“Adam is a really good technical and intelligent player, he can play in midfield or right-back and is really comfortable on the ball." Barrett said.
“He’s a young player but he will make an impact this year particularly when he develops more physically.”
O’Halloran played an important role in the Galway United underage ranks since joining as they reached two finals in three years. Adam was a member of the under-17 side that reached the Mark Farren Cup final in 2021, and he captained the under-19 side in 2023 as they reached the Enda McGuill Cup Final.
Treaty United open their 2024 First Division campaign against Cobh Ramblers at Markets Fields on the 16th Februrary.
