Roisin Jacob re-signs with Galway United

Galway United have announced the re-signing of Roisin Jacob for the senior women’s team ahead of the 2024 season.

The 26-year-old midfielder is set for her second season with the club after initially joining from Galway WFC in 2022.

Jacob, hailing from Carnmore, Co. Galway, started her senior career with Galway WFC in the 2014/15 season, making her debut that same season.

She later joined Athlone Town in 2020, where she played for two seasons before returning to Galway WFC in 2022.

Her transition to Galway United at the end of 2022 marked her as one of the first players to join the senior women's team in its founding year.

Jacob also played a role in the All-Island cup winning squad, contributing to the team's historic success in the 2023 season.
