Everton complete double Danish international signing
Everton have welcomed two new players to their ranks, securing Danish internationals Rikke Madsen and Kathrine Moller Kuhl for the ongoing season.
Rikke Madsen, a forward with international experience, joins the club on an 18-month deal from North Carolina Courage.
Excited about her new journey, Madsen shared her sentiments with evertontv: “I’m really happy to be here. I’ve been eager to get to this club and to play in this league. I cannot wait to get started.”
Madsen, known for her robust playing style, is ready to leverage her physicality and speed at Everton.
“Some of my strengths are my physicality and running fast. It’s going to be fun to put that to good use here,” she said.
Kathrine Moller Kuhl, a promising young midfielder, joins on loan from Arsenal.
Speaking about her move, Kuhl told evertontv, “It feels really good to sign for Everton. I’m really looking forward to this experience. Everton’s a big club and it’s a privilege to be here.”
Kuhl is looking forward to reuniting with her former coach, Brian Sorensen.
She recounted her past experiences with him: “Brian helped me a lot moving from youth football to going to the senior team... He has been a big part of my journey so far and I’m looking forward to working with him again.”
Sorensen, speaking on Kuhl's signing, expressed his confidence in her abilities.
“I know Kathrine very well and I’m super happy to sign her because she’s quality... She’s a very mobile player, very dynamic, good on the ball.”
