First Division promotion hunters Longford Town have snapped up the services of midfielder Conor Crowley.

Crowley joins the Red and Black after a recent stint with Bray Wanderers.

While at the Seagulls under Ian Ryan, the Dubliner made 27 league appearances last season along with four further outings - split between the FAI Cup and Leinster Senior Cup.

The 25-year-old scored twice in all competitions - against Cobh Ramblers and New Oak Boys - and picked up a further three assists.

He has also been on the books of UCD, Cabinteely and Wexford before.

“I’m really happy to join and get the deal over the line,” he told LTFC.ie.

“I’m really looking forward to the season starting and it is a fresh start for me so I’m looking forward to the first game against Finn Harps now on February 17.”

The Red and Black have also re-signed Ross Fay and Emmanuel James ahead of the 2024 campaign.

Both played a bit-part role with Longford last season owing to injuries.

Fay, 20, joined De Town from St Patrick’s Athletic last term and made 16 appearances.

James, a striker by trade, made seven appearances for Henderson’s men last term having come through the club’s underage set-up.
