Wycombe Wanderers have announced their latest acquisition in the January transfer window, securing a loan deal for West Ham United's young talent Gideon Kodua until the season's end.

Kodua, who impressed during a Bristol Street Motors Trophy tie, will join fellow West Ham team-mate Freddie Potts at Adams Park.

The 19-year-old forward, who joined West Ham in 2017 and captained the under-18s to an FA Youth Cup win last season, has been on Wycombe's radar for some time.

His achievements include scoring in the Youth Cup final against Arsenal and earning the Dylan Tombides Award.

Subject to official approvals, Kodua could make his Wycombe debut in the upcoming League 1 match against Lincoln City, where he is set to don the squad number 28.

In other team news, striker Lyle Taylor has parted ways with Wycombe Wanderers at the end of his short-term contract.

Additionally, D'Mani Mellor is set to return to Rochdale on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 23-year-old Wycombe forward previously played 19 games for Rochdale and spent the beginning of this campaign on loan at Sutton United.

Max Cavana is also making a return to Wycombe Wanderers from his loan spell at Aylesbury United.
