Kerry unveil double loan signing of Daire McCarthy and Steven Healy from Galway United
First Division Kerry have snapped up Daire McCarthy and Steven Healy from Galway United on a season-long loan deal.
The Kingdom have already added new faces in Andy Spain and Jack Kavanagh to their squad during the off-season thus far.
And the arrivals of McCarthy and Healy will boost Conor McCarthy’s side further ahead of the 2024 campaign at Mounthawk Park.
McCarthy - who is 19-years-old and a utility man by trade - featured twice for the Tribesmen at the end of last season.
And Healy - also 19 - made six appearances for Galway in their impressive run to being crowned First Division Champions in 2023.
Kerry boss Coach Conor McCarthy said: “We’re delighted to have Daire and Steven for the 2024 season. Daire is a versatile player and has some excellent qualities.
“He’s got a brilliant attitude and can’t wait to get going, I’m sure he will do very well for Kerry FC.
“Steven is a young player who’s got a very bright future ahead of him and is thought very highly of.
“He has come through a brilliant academy in Galway and he will be a great addition to our squad for the season.”
Welcome to Kerry Steven Healy and Daire McCarthy!
