Tarmey joins Treaty United on loan
Treaty United Manager Tommy Barrett has added highly-rated striker David Tarmey on loan from Galway United.
The promising 19-year-old joins for the 2024 season having made 11 appearances for Galway, scoring once.
Tarmey hit 16 goals in 18 games for the Galway United under 19s last season where his side came up short in the Enda McGuill Cup Final to Shamrock Rovers.
Galway manager John Caulfield was happy to see the promising attacker gain first-team experience with the Limerick side for the coming season.
“This is a great opportunity for the two lads who have come through our academy and signed professional contract to get competitive first-team football as part of their development,” said Caulfield, speaking to Galway United’s website about Tarmey and his teammate Steven Healy who has gone on loan to Kerry.
