Cork City re-sign Fitzgerald and O'Brien

Cork City have announced the re-signing of Academy graduates Clodagh Fitzgerald and Erin O’Brien ahead of the new season.

Fitzgerald made her senior debut for the club this past season and the goalkeeper made three appearances in total for the Rebels.

“I’m delighted to be signing back with Cork City this year. It’s a real honour to play with these girls,” she told the club’s media team.

“I’m looking forward to getting going again and it’s onwards and upwards from here.”

O’Brien also made her debut in 2023 – she came off the bench against Peamount United in September to make her first senior appearance.

“I’m really excited to sign with Cork City for my first season in senior football. After getting a taster at the end of last season, I’m really determined to make my mark in the squad by helping the team bring positive results.”
