Sarr commits to Spurs until 2030
Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the extension of midfielder Pape Matar Sarr's contract, securing his stay at the club until 2030.
The 21-year-old Senegal international has become a pivotal player in Ange Postecoglou's revamped team, featuring in 18 of Tottenham's 20 Premier League matches this season, with 16 starts to his credit.
His contributions have been significant, including scoring his first goal for the club in a 2-0 victory against Manchester United in August.
He continued his scoring streak with a goal in the 3-1 triumph over AFC Bournemouth on New Year's Eve.
To date, he has made 33 appearances in all competitions for Tottenham.
His journey with Tottenham began with his signing from Metz in August 2021, followed by a loan back to the Ligue 1 club for the 2021/22 season.
During this period, he not only gained valuable experience with 27 appearances but was also part of the Senegal squad that won the Africa Cup of Nations in February 2022.
Sarr's breakthrough at Tottenham came last season, marked by 14 appearances.
On the international front, Sarr has made 16 appearances for Senegal, including playing in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
