Ireland underage international Mary Philips re-signs for Athlone Town

Ireland under 19 international Mary Philips has re-signed with Athlone Town ahead of the 2024 Women’s Premier Division campaign.

The teenager was named the League of Ireland Women’s under 17 Player of the Year this past season and received her award at the FAI Cup Final in November, which Athlone Town won when they beat Shelbourne on penalties.

Philips helped Athlone Town to the Women’s under 17 Cup Final in 2023.

She made her fist team debut for the club during a 2-1 win over Wexford in November and was on the bench for the club’s FAI Cup Final triumph.
