Kiernan announces first signing as Fitzpatrick joins Bohemians
Bohemians have announced the signing of Orlagh Fitzpatrick ahead of the 2024 Women’s Premier Division campaign.
The forward joins the Gypsies from Treaty United where she made ten appearances in all competitions in 2023.
“I grabbed the opportunity to join this club with both hands as it’s a fantastic club with a fantastic reputation,” Fitzpatrick said, speaking to the club’s website.
“I know that Ken is looking to play a style of football that suits me attacking-wise. I always look to get forward and it’s something I want to be a part of. I think we can work with each other and go to do what we both want to do with the club.
“Personally, I will be looking to score week in, week out if I can and to assist, depending on where I am playing. But everyone at the club is of the same mindset that we want to go on and do big things this season, so the aim is silverware.
“I have met all the girls, everyone is very welcoming and very friendly. They are a very talented group, and obviously I know some of them from having played against them. There is a very good group here, and I think we will gel well on and off the pitch.”
Fitzpatrick is new manager Ken Kiernan’s first signing at the club since being appointed last month.
She began her career with Peamount United and spent a season with DLR Waves before joinine Treaty in 2023.
