O'Neill: More to come from Dennehy
Shamrock Rovers boss Michael O'Neill expects to see the best of Billy Dennehy after he scored the winner in the Dublin derby win over Bohemians.
The former Sunderland trainee was one of the stand-out players for Cork City last season, but he has struggled to rediscover his best form since switching to the Tallaght Stadium.
But a fine headed goal in last Friday's victory over the champions is sure to boost his confidence and O'Neill reckons it could be exactly what he needed.
"He's been slightly unfortunate. He's had to play on the left, on the right, and through the middle. His best position is obviously to play wide, that's why we brought him to the club," O'Neill told the club's official website.
"He needed a game like he had against Bohs. He's still young but his athleticism, his pace and his quality - when you get all three together you've got a top player in this league.
"We've brought these players to the club because we want to build a team long term, and they're all at the right age to do that. There's a lot of players who are 23 and under. It's not an old team at all."
