Longford Town unveil signing of Sami Clarke
First Division Longford Town have confirmed the signing of Sami Clarke from UCD ahead of the 2024 season.
Clarke - who hails from Mullingar, Co Westmeath - was previously on the books of Longford’s local rivals Athlone Town.
And the winger has also played for St Patrick’s Athletic and Shamrock Rovers at underage level.
He made 13 league appearances in the Premier Division for the Students last season.
But Clarke will be hoping that he can aid the Red and Black’s promotion bid in 2024.
Stephen Henderson’s side will also have experienced campaigner Karl Chambers back at the club.
The midfielder, 27, spent seven consecutive years at Longford before joining Wexford ahead of the 2023 season.
Chambers has already played 144 times for De Town, netting 12 goals and grabbing four assists.
We are delighted to announce that Sami Clarke has signed for the club for 2024!
