O'Mahony arrives at Cork from Shamrock Rovers while Eva Mangan re-signs with the Rebels
Cork City have announced the signings of Orlaith O’Mahony and Eva Mangan ahead of the 2024 Women’s Premier Division season.
O'Mahony arrives at Turners Cross from Shamrock Rovers where she began her career.
“I’m delighted to be joining Cork City for the 2024 season and being part of the club,” she said, speaking to the club’s media team.
“I’m really excited for the season ahead and I’m fully committed to helping Cork City on their journey forward.”
O’Mahony has come through Rovers’ Academy and made her Women’s Premier Division debut for the Hoops last season during the club’s inaugural season at senior level.
She went on to make 12 appearances in the league for Shamrock Rovers during the season.
Mangan is entering her fourth season with the Cork City senior team – manager Danny Murphy has named the midfielder as captain for the upcoming season.
“I am delighted to sign back with Cork City for another year, it’s an honour to be named captain for the coming season.
“This club deserves to be competing at the very top and I am determined and focused to make that happen this season.”
The Cork City Academy graduate made 18 appearances in the Women’s Premier Division for the Rebels last season and helped the side each the All-Island Cup semi-finals.
