Forrester signs long term deal with St Patrick's Athletic
St Patrick’s Athletic have announced that PFAI Premier Division Player of the Year Chis Forrester has signed a new long term deal with the club.
The 31 year old has made 332 appearances for the Saints and scored 78 goals across his two stints at Richmond Park.
Forrester has also won the FAI Cup three times while with St Patrick’s Athletic including in 2023 when the Saints defeated Bohemians in the Final in November.
"I'm delighted that the club has offered me a new deal, the security the new contract gives me is something that I wanted, and to continue playing for this club is an honour that I'm really appreciative of and something that I really couldn't turn down,” Forrester said, speaking to the club’s media team.
“I've given a lot of time to this club and this club has given a lot to me, I think we have a great mutual respect, the conversations were easy and I'm really pleased.
“I've been here at St Pat's for a lot of years, since my debut in 2012, the club were there for me when I first came home from the UK, they stood by me through a lot, I've always tried my best and my passion to play for St Patrick's Athletic is still there so hopefully that continues.
“There have been a lot of special days, cup finals and league wins, I've seen ups and downs, but the club is definitely on the rise, with the amount of support we have now and the successes we've had in recent years, it's something I wanted to stay a part of and I want to strive for even more."
