Dara Keane signs multi-year deal with Dundalk
Dara Keane has been unveiled as Dundalk’s lates signing ahead of the new season.
The 24 year old has put pen to paper on a multi-year contract with the Lilywhites after leaving UCD.
“It’s a proud moment for me to sign for Dundalk FC,” Keane said, speaking to the club’s website.
“To sign for a club of Dundalk FC’s stature is a very special feeling. It’s a really exciting challenge and a challenge that I’m looking forward to. I feel like it’s come at the right time and stage in my career and I’m just eager to get going.
“Obviously coming from UCD, education sometimes stood in the way of committing all of my time to football, but now that I’ve closed that chapter off I can’t wait to get going and throw 100% at football here in Dundalk.”
“I’ve had a good few conversations with Stephen O’Donnell and some of the lads around the club and it’s the right place for me to play my football.
“We’ve spoken about the club’s ambition, ideas and style of play and everything aligned with my own personal self and goals. I can’t wait to meet the lads and push on with this.
“I’ve been impressed with Dundalk FC ever since our first conversation. Everything about the club and what it represents in terms of the people, the facilities, and the town have impressed me. This fuels me to work hard and do my very best for the club.”
