Tribesmen re-sign Maurice Nugent

Galway United have announced that Maurice Nugent has re-signed with the club for the 2024 League of Ireland season.

The 25 year old was part of John Caulfield’s squad as the Tribesmen claimed the First Division title in 2023.

Nugent has come through the club’s academy having played for their under 19 team after joining from Mervue United.

He made his first team debut in 2017 and played for several seasons for the Tribesmen until the 2022 season when he left for a stint in the UK.

Nugent returned for the 2023 season and made 27 appearances in the First Division scoring two goals.
