Galway United re-sign attacker Ed McCarthy

Galway United have confirmed that forward Ed McCarthy has penned a new deal to keep him at the club ahead of their Premier Division return.
The 22-year-old is now heading into his third season with the Tribesmen having joined initially in 2022 from Treaty United.
From Limerick, McCarthy made 38 appearances in all competitions last season for United and scored nine times.
He was also named in the 2023 PFAI First Division Team of the Year as Galway won the First Division at a canter.
