Treaty United sign two-time First Division winner Yoyo Mahdy
Yoyo Mahdy has penned a deal with Treaty United after leaving Bray Wanderers at the end of the 2023 season.
Mahdy, 25, hails from Limerick and previously lined out for Limerick FC at underage level before moving to UCD.
And while he was at UCD, the striker helped the Students win a First Division title in 2018 before repeating the trick with Shelbourne in 2021.
After his stint at Tolka Park, the forward joined Finn Harps before moving to Egypt and lining for Olympic Alexandria.
But he returned to the League of Ireland midway through the 2023 season to join Bray Wanderers where he featured regularly under Ian Ryan.
“Yoyo is a great signing for us,” Treaty boss Tommy Barrett said.
“He’s a great addition to the squad and him being local is very important.
“We have known him since he’s 17 or 18, he’s technically very good, can both score and create goals and is a really good professional.
“He scored a lot of goals with UCD, and his time spent in both the Premier Division and Egypt means he’s an experienced player at just 25.”
