Ciaran Kilduff to stay on as Athlone Town boss after winning FAI Cup in debut campaign
Women’s Premier Division side - and FAI Cup holders - Athlone Town have confirmed that Ciaran Kilduff is set to stay on as their manager for next season.
Kilduff enjoyed a successful start to his League of Ireland management career this term by lifting the FAI Cup with Athlone last weekend at Tallaght Stadium.
The Co Westmeath side defeated Shelbourne in the decider after a thrilling penalty shootout.
And that success rounded off a fine year for Kilduff who improved their fortunes after taking over from former Tommy Hewitt.
“I am thrilled to stay on as Athlone Town manager after our recent cup victory.
“Winning the cup was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team.
“I am excited to build on this success and continue our journey.”
