Jack Byrne pens new multi-year deal with Shamrock Rovers
Shamrock Rovers have confirmed that Jack Byrne has put pen to paper on a new multi-year deal with the club.
The Hoops attacking midfielder's contract was set to expire at the end of the year.
But he has agreed a fresh deal with the Dublin 24 side to keep there for another few years at least.
And on Sunday, Rovers said: “The club is delighted to confirm that Jack Byrne has re-signed on a multi year contract.
“(He) and will continue to be a central part of the squad as we aim to build on the success of this season.”
Byrne missed the majority of the 2023 league-winning season through injury and is likely to be out of action until January as he nurses a long-standing knee issue.
But he still managed to play 23 times for Rovers in the league this year, with his last start coming against Shelbourne on September 29 after missing over two months.
