Over 40,000 tickets have been sold for this weekend’s FAI Cup Final between Bohemians and St. Patrick’s Athletic.

The record attendance for the final was set way back in 1945 in another game involving Bohs.

That final, against Shamrock Rovers, at Dalymount Park had 41,238 in attendance.

Kick off at the Aviva Stadium between the two teams that played out the 2021 final is at 3pm.

When they played two years ago the attendance was 37,126.

Pat’s prevailed on penalties that day.

The FAI noted that:

'We urge anyone with a ticket to attend on Sunday to be a part of history and with various sections of the stadium now sold out, supporters can secure theirs at fai.ie/tickets with limited tickets remaining.'
