Noel King to step down as Shelbourne boss
FAI Cup finalists Shelbourne have confirmed that Noel King is to step down as manager at the end of the season.
Since taking charge of the Reds in 2020, King has won two Women’s Premier Division titles and lifted the FAI Cup once.
And while he was unable to lead Shels to third league title in a row this season, he can at least win another domestic cup when the Reds face Athlone Town in the November 19 decider at Tallaght Stadium.
“It has been a tremendous honour to manage Shelbourne,” King said.
“The dedication and passion of the girls, staff, and supporters have been unwavering. I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished together.”
Shelbourne CEO Barry Mocke added: “Noel King’s legacy at Shelbourne is a positive one.
“His knowledge and experience of the game, at the very highest level, provided us with a platform to push our Women’s National League team to the top of the game.
“We are grateful for his contribution.”
Noel King to depart at the end of the season.
