There will be no Irish representation in the groups stages of this season’s Women’s Champions League.

Zurich, Glasgow City and Manchester United – all with senior Ireland internationals in their squads – all exited Europe in the second round.

Having lost 6-0 in the first leg at the Stadion Letzigrund, Diane Caldwell started in Zurich’s back three as the Swiss side’s 2-0 second leg loss in Amsterdam.

Glasgow City, who defeated Shelbourne in the Champions League first round, exited at the hands of Norwegian side Brann.

Following the 4-0 first leg loss, City lost 2-0 away in the second leg with Emily Whelan starting while Abbie Larkin was brought off the bench in the 79th minute.

Aoife Mannion remains out injured so she wasn’t part of the Manchester United team lost 3-1 to PSG at the Parc des Princes to exit 4-2 on aggregate.

Following the conclusion of the second round matches the UEFA Women's Champions League group stage line-up has now been confirmed.

Paris FC and Paris Saint-Germain were both among the round 2 winners to make the group stages along with Ajax, Benfica, Brann, Eintracht Frankfurt, Häcken, Real Madrid, Roma, Rosengård, St. Pölten and Slavia Praha.

Holders Barcelona, Bayern München, Chelsea and record eight-time champions Lyon were already automatically through to the group stage.

The draw takes place at midday (Irish time) on Friday with the first matches set for 14 and 15 November.
