Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones to serve three-match suspension after unsuccessful appeal
Curtis Jones, the Premier League midfielder, is facing a three-match suspension following the unsuccessful appeal of his red card, which he received during the match against Tottenham Hotspur last Saturday.
Jones initially received a yellow card in the 26th minute after a challenge on Yves Bissouma during the fixture at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Yet, upon VAR review, the decision was altered, escalating the yellow to a direct red card.
As a result of this suspension, Jones will be absent from the Reds' forthcoming matches against Brighton & Hove Albion, Everton, and Nottingham Forest scheduled for this month.
In another development for the Reds, Diogo Jota has also been handed a one-match suspension. Jota was shown two yellow cards, which leads to his exclusion from the upcoming Sunday match at the American Express Community Stadium against Brighton & Hove Albion.
