Dave Rogers steps down as Finn Harps boss

First Division strugglers Finn Harps have confirmed the departure of Dave Rogers as their first-team manager.

The Co Donegal side have endured a wretched season at the foot of the First Division table with their play-off hopes extinguishing a few weeks ago.

They sit ninth in the table with just five games left to play.

And in the wake of their 5-1 defeat away to Cobh Ramblers on Friday night, Rogers has stepped down citing personal and family reasons.

“Due to personal and family reasons I have decided to step down as manager of Finn Harps,” he told Harps media team.

“I would like to place on record my sincere gratitude to Chairman Ian Harkin, the board of directors, my technical staff, the players and more importantly the fantastic Harps supporters and community.

“Best Wishes and success for the future.”
