Andrew Omobamidele called in to Ireland squad

Nottingham Forest defender Andrew Omobamidele has been called up to the Republic of Ireland squad for the upcoming France and Netherlands UEFA EURO 2024 qualifiers.

The Ireland squad reported into camp on Sunday ahead of the first fixture of the double header which begins with a game away to France on Thursday, September 7.

The Boys in Green will play the Netherlands fixture at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday, September 10.

The 21-year old centre-back, who recently moved to Premier League side Nottingham Forest for a fee of upwards of £11m (plus add ons) from Norwich City, has been capped six times at senior international level.
