Nottingham Forest seal deals for Origi and Sangaré
Nottingham Forest have secured the services of Belgium international Divock Origi and Ivory Coast international Ibrahim Sangaré.
28-year-old Origi, a forward with an impressive track record in the Premier League, joins Forest on a season-long loan from AC Milan.
Boasting a successful spell of eight years at Liverpool, Origi accumulated 175 appearances and was part of the team that clinched the FA Cup, League Cup, and Premier League title under Jürgen Klopp.
Origi's contributions in the UEFA Champions League 2018/19 semi-finals and final were instrumental in Liverpool's win.
Last summer, Origi made the switch to Milan, appearing in 36 games, eight of which were in the Champions League.
With 32 caps for Belgium, his international journey began in 2014, where he marked his World Cup debut with a goal against Russia.
Commenting on the signing, Ross Wilson, Forest’s Chief Football Officer, stated: “Divock returns to the Premier League to further add strength to our squad. We wanted to bolster our attacking options and Divock certainly helps us to do that. We look forward to welcoming him to our home on Trentside.”
Additionally, Forest fans have more reasons to celebrate as the club announced the signing of 25-year-old midfielder Ibrahim Sangaré from PSV Eindhoven.
Sangaré, integral to PSV's Champions League qualification this season, made his mark with eight goals in 45 appearances last term, helping the Dutch side finish second in the Eredivisie.
Sangaré's stint in the Netherlands has seen him lift three Johan Cruyff Shields and two KNVB Cups, while making 140 appearances for PSV.
On the international front, Sangaré has been pivotal for Ivory Coast, netting nine goals in 31 games since his debut at 17.
Sangaré, who has signed a five-year deal, is set to don the number 6 shirt for Nottingham Forest.
