Tom Cannon transfers from Everton to Leicester City
20-year-old striker Tom Cannon has sealed his transfer from Everton to Leicester City.
The deal, subject to league approval, has Cannon penned down on a five-year contract with the Foxes.
Cannon expressed his elation about joining Leicester, remarking, “It feels amazing. I just can’t wait to get started."
He added, “When a club like Leicester come calling, it’s hard to say no. The facilities are unbelievable, and it’s a massive club. Everyone knows where the club belongs – that’s in the Premier League."
Tom Cannon's journey began in Everton’s youth system. He signed his first professional deal with the Toffees in March 2021.
Subsequently, Cannon marked his senior debut in a Carabao Cup game against Bournemouth in November 2022 and made his Premier League appearance against the same team later that month.
His skills further shone during a loan to Preston North End in January 2023, where he scored an impressive eight goals in 20 league games.
On the international front, Cannon has played for the Republic of Ireland's youth squads and made his debut for the Under-21s in March 2023 against Iceland.
