KERRY

Billy Dennehy’s boys will be hopeful that they can claim just their second league win of the season when they welcome Bray Wanderers to Mounthawk Park (kick-off is at 7.45pm).

The Kingdom have been boosted in recent days with the news that Ronan Teehan and Ryan Kelliher have penned long-term professional contracts with the club until the end of the 2025 season.

And the former's contract extension is the most recent.

The midfielder has been a near ever-present in Kerry’s midfield this season and will be looking to kick on over the next two years.

“I am delighted to have signed with Kerry for the next 2 years,” he said.

“I can see the club is headed in a positive direction so I think this is a great chance for me to improve and further my development.

“I'm grateful to everyone at Kerry Football Club for this opportunity.”

BRAY WANDERERS

Bray Wanderers boss Ian Ryan stressed that his side will not take Kerry for granted when they visit Mounthawk Park on Friday night.

The Seagulls are winless in the league since beating the Kingdom at the Carlisle Grounds in June.

But they are still in touch with the play-off places.

“It’s the most important game of the year because it’s our next game,” Ryan said. “We know at this stage of the season that we need points and we need to win games.

“We know the importance of the game and we’ve trained well this week. But it’s about performing on Friday night.

“Kerry have done extremely well of late. In their last few home games, they were narrowly beaten by Drogheda in the Cup and drew with Cobh – who had to come back late in that game.

“There’s big improvements in Kerry and we will not underestimate them.”
