Colin Feehily steps down as CEO of Sligo Rovers
Sligo Rovers have officially announced the forthcoming departure of their CEO, Colin Feehily. A recruitment process to find a successor has been initiated.
The creation of the CEO role in 2019 was a strategic decision by the Club’s management committee, aiming for advancement and expansion.
Tommy Higgins, Sligo Rovers chairman, expressed his appreciation, stating, “In the last four years Colin has guided the club through a period of growth in many areas."
"He has played a pivotal role in modernizing the club's daily operations and implementing essential structures. We're immensely thankful for Colin's unwavering dedication and for upholding the club's reputation.”
Higgins aslo confirmed the immediate commencement of the hunt for a new CEO.
Having been associated with Sligo Rovers for over ten years, not only as a CEO but also as an equipment manager, Feehily said: “I am profoundly grateful to the club for the faith they entrusted in me. Even though it's hard to bid goodbye, I am also eager to embrace new adventures and return as a supporter.”
Colin reminisced about the cherished experiences he had with Sligo Rovers and expressed gratitude to everyone he collaborated with over the years.
“I’d like to thank everyone I have worked with at Sligo Rovers over the years, including the staff, volunteers and supporters, as well figures in other clubs throughout the country.
“I wish everyone the best of luck moving forward and some great days ahead for Sligo Rovers''.
