England goalkeeper Mary Earps wins World Cup Golden Glove Award
Mary Earps who saved a penalty as her England team lost the World Cup final 1-0 to Spain was awarded the Golden Glove Award for the tournament.
The award is given to the best goalkeeper as selected by the FIFA Technical Study Group.
The 30-year-old Manchester United player conceded just four goals in England's seven games in the tournament.
"The team result is the most important thing really and we couldn't get that," Earps told BBC Radio 5 Live after the final in Stadium Australia on Sunday.
"I just try to go out and do my job for the team, leave everything on the pitch.
"In a couple of weeks, when the emotion has settled down, we will probably be able to look back and feel proud - it is no small feat to get to a World Cup final.
