Aston Villa secures loan deal for italian International Nicolò Zaniolo
Aston Villa has confirmed the loan signing of Nicolò Zaniolo, the Italian international midfielder, pending a successful visa application.
Zaniolo is making the move from Galatasaray, having recently clinched the Süper Lig title with the Turkish giants.
The 24-year-old's football journey saw him shine at AS Roma, where he earned the accolade of Serie A Young Player of the Year for the 2018/19 season and played a pivotal role in Roma's UEFA Europa Conference League triumph in 2022.
Upon completing his move to Villa Park, Zaniolo expressed his enthusiasm in an exclusive chat with VillaTV.
"I’m very happy to be here," Zaniolo remarked, adding, “When Monchi [President of Football Operations at Aston Villa] called me, I couldn’t wait to be here and to play my first minutes in this shirt for this amazing club.”
The midfielder believes his move to Aston Villa provides an excellent opportunity under the guidance of manager Unai Emery, whom he praises as "one of the greatest coaches in the world."
Further expressing his aspiration for the English league, Zaniolo shared, “The Premier League is the most important championship in the world. It was my dream when I was young that one day I would play in the Premier League. Now I’m here and I can’t wait to play.”
