Fenlon talks up former employers
Ahead of Derry's visit to Dalymount on Friday night former Candystripes manager Pat Fenlon has spoken out on how he feels the Foylesiders will fare this season.
Fenlon joined Derry shortly after the 2006 season had ended. He had just led Shelbourne to their third title in four years. His time at Derry didn't go so well and after just five months of poor results and difficulties settling into his new surroundings he decided to resign.
Bohemians will move to the top of the table if they can pick up three points on Friday night. Speaking about the opposition Fenlon said " I know a lot of the players at Derry and I believe that they will be in the shake-up at the end of the league campaign. They lost in Bray last week and they will be looking to get back up and running as quickly as possible."
Derry's start to the season has surprised some observers. They topped the table after beating St Pats in week five but a subsequent draw with Sligo and a defeat to Bray has seen them slip to third place.
Kick off at Dalymount Park is 19.45 on Friday night.
