Fulham secure signature of former Wolves winger Adama Traoré
Fulham has announced the signing of former Wolverhampton Wanderers winger, Adama Traoré.
The 27-year-old Spanish international has inked a deal that will keep him at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2025, with an option for a further 12-month extension.
Traoré expressed his anticipation for this new journey, sharing with FFCtv, "It’s a nice opportunity for me. Another chapter. I like the club, I also have information from Raúl [Jiménez], who seems to love the club. I’m excited and hungry to give 100 per cent here."
Tony Khan, Director of Football Operations, commented on the acquisition: "I'm thrilled to welcome Adama Traoré to Fulham Football Club. He's an explosive and powerful winger with great pace, and he has tremendous experience in the Premier League."
This transfer marks a reunion between Traoré and his former teammate, Raúl Jiménez, who also recently made a move to Fulham.
Adama Traoré began his English football career at Aston Villa after transferring from Barcelona.
After a season, he moved to Middlesbrough. During his time on Teesside, he registered five goals and 10 assists in the Championship season, earning him accolades such as Fans' Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year, and Players' Player of the Year.
His next move was to Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he tallied up 14 goals and 20 assists in almost 200 appearances.
In 2022, Traoré spent six months on loan at his former club, Barcelona.
On the international front, Traoré has represented Spain eight times since his debut in 2020 and was part of the squad for the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament.
