Nottingham Forest has officially confirmed the acquisition of goalkeeper Matt Turner from Arsenal, bolstering their lineup with the seasoned USA international.

The 29-year-old has signed on for a four-year term with Forest, ensuring his presence at The City Ground until the summer of 2027.

Turner made a commendable 111 appearances during his six-year tenure at New England Revolution.

On the international front, since his debut in February 2021, Turner has donned the USA jersey 32 times, even leading his team as the captain in the recent CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Notably, his contributions were pivotal in the USA's triumph in the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup, where he was honored as the Goalkeeper of the Tournament for maintaining five clean sheets in six games.

Before joining Forest, Turner showcased his talents in North London, registering three clean sheets in five UEFA Europa League matches for Arsenal. He also featured prominently in the USA's squad during their FIFA World Cup stint in Qatar.

This move signifies Forest's third acquisition in the ongoing summer transfer window, following the successful signings of Ola Aina and Anthony Elanga.

Sharing his enthusiasm about the new journey, Turner remarked, “It feels great to be here. From the moment I learned of the club's interest, everything felt right. The ambiance, the manager, the backroom staff - there's a certain allure about the club."

Eager to connect with his new team and the supporters, Turner added, "I’m looking forward to forging bonds with my teammates, the fans, and the city."

Ross Wilson, Forest’s Chief Football Officer, warmly welcomed the new addition, stating, "Our coaching staff eagerly anticipate working with Matt, and we're confident he's as enthusiastic about this new chapter as we are."
