Cobh Ramblers

Third-place Cobh Ramblers return to St Colman’s Park for their first home game in almost a month when they welcome Wexford FC on Friday (kick-off is at 7:45pm).

There are currently eight points between the two sides with Cobh sitting in third and Wexford in fifth.

The Rams have been on a decent run, despite losing to Finn Harps in the league and suffering an FAI Cup exit to UCD. They have collected three wins and one draw in their past five league games, with the latest being a 1-0 win over Longford.

In team news, former Wexford midfielder Jack Doherty is close to full fitness and may feature against his old club, while Charlie Lyons is available following a suspension.

New signings Luke Casey, Dean Larkin and Mikie Rowe may also feature in what would be a home debut for all three.

Wexford FC

Wexford will be hoping to maintain their good form when they make the long trip to Cork, astheir fifth position in the table lies under threat from Bray Wanderers and Finn Harps.

A win could see Wexford move up to fourth if Athlonelose to Bray at the Carlisle Grounds, but should Wexford draw or lose, they could be overtaken by Ian Ryan’s side. Finn Harps, who are currently three points below Wexford, would need a win at home to Galway if they want to climb the table.

James Keddy’s side will certainly be under pressure, but hopeful team news might ease the stress. Conor Levingston is due to return from injury, while his brother Darraghis available following suspension.

Goalkeeper Owen Mason may come back into the squad following a recent knock, meanwhile Aaron Robinson is expected back from a long-term injury in the coming weeks.

Wexford came out on top in the reverse fixture in June, when they snatched a 2-1 win at Ferrycarrig Park, while their first meeting this season ended in a 2-1 home win for Cobh.
