Aaron Connolly rejoins Hull City from Brighton & Hove Albion

Hull City have confirmed the signing of 23-year-old forward Aaron Connolly from Brighton & Hove Albion.
Connolly has penned a one-year deal for an undisclosed fee, marking his return to the MKM Stadium where he had a successful loan spell last season.
This signing makes Connolly the Tigers' fourth summer acquisition, following the arrivals of Liam Delap, Jason Lokilo, and Rúben Vinagre.
Born in Galway, Ireland, Connolly made six appearances for Hull City in the previous season, impressing fans with his goal-scoring ability, notably bagging a brace in a standout performance against Queens Park Rangers.
Connolly first joined Brighton as a scholar in 2016, where he went on to make 52 appearances, with the majority being in the Premier League.
His career highlight with the Seagulls was undoubtedly his two-goal performance in a 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur during his top-flight debut in October 2019.
The Irish international, who has earned eight caps for his country, has a varied playing history, making his EFL debut for Luton Town in 2018/19 and having loan spells at Middlesbrough and Serie B side Venezia in Italy.
Speaking on the signing, Hull City head coach Liam Rosenior expressed his excitement, "I’m delighted Aaron has joined us. He showed in a short time the impact he can have on not just the team but the group."
Rosenior also emphasized Connolly's commitment to the club, mentioning how he had other offers but was determined to return to Hull City.
"What convinced me to sign him again was his determination to come here. He had interest from other clubs but discounted them because he wanted to be at this club."
