Bayern forward Sadio Mané, has agreed to a move to Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia.

The 31-year-old, who joined the German side from Liverpool only a year ago, is all set to begin a new chapter in his career.

It has been a challenging year for Mané who was injured just before the World Cup and consequently missed the tournament with Senegal.

Despite being unable to live up to the expectations at Bayern due to his prolonged absence, the decision for his departure was mutually agreed upon.

During his brief tenure at Bayern, Mané made 38 appearances across all competitions, scoring 12 goals. The two-time African Footballer of the Year managed to clinch the Bundesliga title and the German Supercup while in Munich.

FC Bayern's CEO, Jan-Christian Dreesen said, “We want to thank Sadio Mané for the past season. We wish him all the best and lots of success for the challenges ahead at Al Nassr."

Mané's illustrious career began in Ligue 2 with Metz at age 19, but after a single season, he moved to Red Bull Salzburg in Austria.

His stint there saw a league and cup domestic double win in the 2013–14 season.

He then moved to Southampton in the Premier League, where he set a record for the fastest hat-trick and later joined Liverpool for a record fee, contributing significantly to their Premier League victory in the 2019–20 season.

Internationally, Mané has been a beacon for Senegal, currently ranking as his nation's all-time top goalscorer.

His most notable achievements include winning the Africa Cup of Nations in 2021 and being named the Player of the Tournament.

In 2022, he was awarded the African Player of the Year for the second time.

With this move to Al Nassr, Mané will be linking up with Ronaldo, Marcelo Brozovic, Alex Telles and Seko Fofana.
