Swansea City signs Ukrainian striker Mykola Kuharevich and Brighton goalkeeper Carl Rushworth
Swansea City has announced the signing of Ukrainian forward Mykola Kuharevich from French club Troyes for an undisclosed fee, along with the season-long loan of goalkeeper Carl Rushworth from Brighton.
Kuharevich, aged 22, signed a three-year deal, with an option for an additional year, and will don the number 19 shirt in the upcoming 2023-24 campaign.
The striker previously played for FC Volyn Lutsk and Rukh Lviv in his homeland, before transferring to Troyes in 2021.
Following loan spells at Belgian club OH Leuven and Scottish side Hibernian, where he netted five goals in 15 appearances, Kuharevich returns to the UK, ready to strengthen Swansea's attacking force.
Goalkeeper Carl Rushworth, also 22, joins the Swans on a season-long loan.
As an England Under-21 international, he brings competitive experience to the team as they await the recovery of Steven Benda from a knee injury.
Having started his career with Halifax, Rushworth moved to Brighton in 2018 and has since gained significant EFL experience through loan stints with Worthing, Walsall, and Lincoln City. He'll wear the number 22 shirt at Swansea.
These signings come as part of manager Michael Duff's efforts to strengthen his squad for the coming season, which already saw the additions of Josh Ginnelly and Jerry Yates.
