Fabinho, the Brazilian midfielder, has finalized his transfer from Liverpool to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad.

This concludes a remarkable stint at Anfield during which he made 219 appearances across all competitions and contributed to the Reds winning five major trophies.

Fabinho joined Liverpool from AS Monaco in May 2018 and quickly established himself as a key part of Jurgen Klopp's team.

His first season saw Liverpool finish second in the Premier League, missing the title despite accumulating 97 points.

However, the season ended on a high note with the club winning the Champions League, where Fabinho played the entirety of the 2-0 final victory over Tottenham Hotspur in Madrid.

Fabinho's second season in 2019-20 was even more successful as he was involved in Liverpool's Premier League triumph, contributing two goals and three assists in 28 appearances.

Known for his ability to play as a central defender when needed, he helped Liverpool secure a third-place finish in the 2020-21.

During the following season, Fabinho was at his best, scoring a personal-best eight goals from midfield in 48 appearances, as Liverpool chased a quadruple.

His memorable moments include a 'Panenka' penalty in the Carabao Cup final shootout win over Chelsea. The Reds also won the FA Cup and finished as runners-up in the Premier League and Champions League during the same season.

After surpassing 200 appearances for Liverpool, Fabinho is now saying his goodbyes to the club with his transfer to Al-Ittihad where he will be joining recent signings Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kanté.
