The Setanta Sports Cup semi-final clash between St Patrick's Athletic and Sligo Rovers as well as the Premier Division meeting of Bray Wanderers and Bohemians have been postponed.

Both fixtures were due to take place on Monday evening, but waterlogged pitches at Richmond Park and the Carlisle Grounds have brought an end to that.

The Leinster Senior Cup match involving Shamrock Rovers and Shelbourne also fell victim to the heavy rain in Dublin and has been postponed.

"The Setanta Sports Cup semi final fixture between St. Patrick’s Athletic and Sligo Rovers, scheduled for this evening [Monday 29], has been postponed following a pitch inspection at Richmond Park," read a brief FAI statement.

"A new date for the fixture will be issued in due course."

There has been nothing mentioned as of yet regarding the other Setanta Sports Cup semi-final between Bohemians and Linfield, so that should still take place on Saturday afternoon.

While Friday's series of games in the Airtricity League are still expected to go ahead, unless conditions worsen over the coming days.
